Skinners see benefits of Beissbarth Headlight Tester

Skinners, a family run coach operator, runs day and European holiday excursions. They place safety and reliability at the head of their agenda.

From their base in Oxted, Surrey, they run an extensively equipped workshop and are a VOSA recognised PSV Testing Station. They also service and maintain other company’s vehicles.

Skinners were the first in the country to purchase the Beissbarth PLA20 Headlight Tester, enabling their coaches to be VOSA tested on the premises.

But having that facility to hand has added benefits says, Skinners Workshop Mechanic, Rob Maguire: “When the VOSA testers come to test our coaches they know what to expect from the Headlight Tester and how to use it.

“But it also means that we can keep our coaches maintained to that ideal standard and test them as often as we wish and that has to be good news for our customers.

“We calibrate the unit ourselves and we have found they work very well.”

Skinners use the Headlight Tester on approx 40 vehicles a year including from neighbouring businesses.
