Beissbarth launches high tech brake fluid tester

Beissbarth UK is launching a new product that takes the guess work out of precisely when brake fluid should be changed.

Most brake fluid testers only check the electrical conductivity of the fluid. The Romess Aqua 12 DIGI measures the exact boiling point of brake fluid that determines when the brake fluid has to be replaced.

The compact electrical unit contains a probe in a closed pressure cell that is heated up to a specific temperature. The measuring simulates the exact conditions in the wheel-brake cylinder. Results are shown on an LCD display and can be transferred to a laptop or PC for print out.

Beissbarth UK’s managing director, Philip Hodges, says the introduction of the Romess Aqua 12 DIGI is a breakthrough to be welcomed by garage technicians and their customers: “The quality of brake fluid varies according to the level of use, the type of car and, hardest to compute, the terrain in which the driver operates. With so many variables, a system which offers a technically superior method of fast and accurate measurement provides a cost effective service to workshops, and the promise of peace of mind to their customers.”

Beissbarth offers a comprehensive range of advanced technology brake testing units for motorcycles, cars, buses and trucks. The Microbrake units can be installed as an individual test rig with direct input, or installed within a test line.
