Porsche approval for BD640 Brake Tester | |
|
Porsche have approved the latest Brake Tester from Beissbarth for testing all Porsche, including the Cayenne 4 x 4. The range of Beissbarth Brake Testers also forms part of the proposed Automatic Test Lane which are likely to be a new European Standard in vehicle testing in the forthcoming changes to testing vehicles. The BD640 uses the latest technology and is available with a slim pedestal or wall mounted cabinet and is network compatible. A printer is also part of the package and gives the technician and customer easy read print-outs for future reference or vehicle rectification. The BD640 can be combined with Suspension Testers and Noise Detection so body rattles can be rapidly localised. Commenting on the latest approval, Beissbarth's UK managing director, Philip Hodges said: "Porsche has long been recognised as a truly iconic brand with a long and illustrious history. And in that respect there are many parallels with Beissbarth - the two companies share some major milestones. "On a bright spring day in 1899 the oldest number plate in the world was issued to motoring enthusiasts Daniel and Hermann Beissbarth. The young brothers collected possibly the first driving licence in Germany and drove off in their stylish Warburg - no doubt formulating plans even then about correcting the wheel alignment!" |
"In 1900 the Lohner-Porsche Electric Car took pride of place at the Paris Expo. The wheel hub motors were devised by the young engineer and test driver Ferdinand Porsche, and made the name Porsche famous worldwide." |
